The Memory Lantern is a small handheld lantern that's battery-charged and when turned on emits purple light that:
- Acts as a blacklight/UV light source. - If looked at directly can: - - cause a migraine in those who have had tampered memories if they've been tampered with or stirred up recently, - - cause a flashback if there's a relevant trigger nearby and - - aid recall of recent events.
Once a month, if deeply stared into and with the help of a guide as demonstrated here, the lantern can completely restore one lost or corrupted memory. This can be timeskipped, handwaved or we can play out the full process as desired!
